Entity-list preparation for law-firm conflict checks
Assemble names and relationships from approved sources while the firm retains the conflict decision and any required investigation.
Capture names as supplied
Record clients, affiliates, owners, officers, opposing parties, trade names, and known aliases exactly as shown in approved materials. Keep the source and date for every entry.
Distinguish unknown from absent
A name that was not found in the supplied records is not proof that the entity is unrelated. Mark uncertain spelling, incomplete ownership, and unclear relationships as open questions.
Return a reviewable set
Provide the normalized search terms only as a convenience, alongside the original names and source links. Counsel or the firm’s conflict owner decides what must be searched and how results affect acceptance.
