Email-attachment registers for offshore legal support
Connect incoming attachments to matters and instructions while preserving source messages and keeping substantive review with the firm.
Record what arrived
Capture sender, recipients, received time, subject, attachment name, matter label supplied by the firm, and source mailbox or portal. Keep the message and attachment linked.
Flag unsafe assumptions
An attachment that resembles a matter file, has an unclear sender, or arrives without context should go to an exception queue. Do not move it into a client folder or open a new matter by guesswork.
Route with the source intact
Send the register entry and source link to the named reviewer. The firm decides whether the file belongs to the matter, whether it needs a response, and how it should be retained.
